Fun in the Sun

Today we went to Allen to let Lincoln play at the Splash Park that Shawna takes the kids to. He was so excited when he saw the park from the car! However, once he was in the water he was a little unsure, it didn't take long for him to warm up to the idea though.

I took all my pics before Shawna and the boys got there, so I have no pictures of everyone.

Lincoln, ready to go and looking cute in his new swim duds! Although he wasnt so excited about the photo op

Daddy was good at taking Lincoln in the water, I was too wimpy to get wet.

Before and After

Here are a couple pictures from this weekend. One is Lincoln having a pretzel stick at the mall, he loves to dip his food, and he thought he needed his own whole stick! This is the BEFORE his haircut (obviously he needed one!)

The others I took AFTER we got his 3rd haircut! He is getting much better, this time he did not even cry :) Every time it gets a little easier.

He is also becoming a little ham when it comes to smiling for the camera. He is still working on walking, occasionally we see him stand by the couch and take off on his own... that usually lasts about 3 steps and then he hits the ground.

He's starting to walk!

Lincoln will be 13 months on the 25th. So far he has not been that interested in walking. He is perfectly happy crawling at record speeds. However, the last two days he has been taking his first steps! It is so exciting to see him learning and growing. Enjoy the video!

We bought a house

So, after listing our house for sale and expecting no one to buy it, then selling it in the first month with no where to go- we moved in with my Mom and have been house hunting ever since. We found a house we loved the first week we were at my Moms. I wanted it very bad, but it was so fast and the house cost more than we wanted to spend (of course). So after a week of thinking about it, they sold it to someone else! I was bummed. Then, we found another house we loved and after weeks of tracking down the right person to contact we made an offer. The house was brand new, but the builder had gone out of business so it was a foreclosure. The bank took about 5 weeks to come back and tell us they had not accepted our offer. What a waste of time! That was Friday- so Saturday I was back on the hunt, and in one day we found a new house that we love even more!

This house is in Prosper (380 and the tollway), which is farther North than we planned (we were hoping for Frisco) but the price was right and the house is gorgeous. I used to work for two builders and I am very familiar with the different "brands" out there, we bought a Highland home so I know we are getting a good quality house with an outstanding finish out.

If all goes well and the paperwork goes through we move in June 12, here are a few pics of the new Casa de Corpian.

Random Weekend

My sister had a 6th grade party on Saturday, it was supposed to be at a park but due to weather it was changed at the last minute to a CiCis (pizza at 11am). While we were outside waiting for the place to open Lincoln wanted to see the Elephant. He liked it.

Lincoln got a fireman hat today to match his firetruck ball pit, he also got a 100 pack of new balls to fill it up. He was having fun.

Worst Mom Award

So today I win the worst Mom award! I know every mother has a day where they feel terrible because something has happened to their child that was either your fault, or you could have prevented. Today was my first.

I had to take Lincoln to the urgent care doctor today after he burned his arm. I had my hair straightener on in the bathroom and all the cords away from his reach (Im not a total idiot). When I was done, I turned it off and unplugged it and stopped worrying about the cords (okay, so maybe a little bit of an idiot), just then... Lincoln pulled the cord and it landed right on his arm, both sides! Jeez, I felt terrible. Lincoln didnt seem to mind, but the burns blistered immediately so I took him to the Dr to make sure I didnt need to worry about infection. They gave me a prescription cream and wrapped it up so he wouldn't wipe it off. The poor kid looks like he broke his arm and it is in a cast.

He is tough though- still doesnt seem to mind. We just have to keep him entertained so he doesnt try to rip it off!

These pictures are my proof that he really is okay, still trying to go out in the backyard to play even though it is soaking wet!
