Lazy Sunday

Daddy and the Linkster

Today we didn't do much but watch football but here is a pic I got of Lincoln and Joey. Everyone keeps saying how much Lincoln is looking like Daddy these days (although this picture doesnt really show it).

Lincolns First Christmas

Daddy helping Lincoln with his new toy (he'll have to grow into it!)

Lincoln had a great first Christmas, however it is ending badly. Lincoln is sick, for the first time ever! He has a fever- lucky for us he is taking it well. He feels terrible and is so tired, but he is not giving us any trouble, just laying with his Daddy being sweet. I will be calling the Dr in the morning!

Lincoln did not understand that today was Christmas or that he was getting gifts, but he had a good time and he really raked in the toys! We only got him one thing (a power wheels four wheeler) because we knew he wouldn't know the difference, but being the baby in the family EVERYONE else got him plenty (including his first set of Lincoln Logs from my Mom, how cute).

First, we went to my Moms and opened gifts, one of which was my new waffle maker I asked for, so of course, we all had waffles for breakfast. Then we came back to our house and had lunch/dinner with my and Joeys family. Corbin and Gage always do a great job of keeping Lincoln entertained, but today Lincoln was napping almost the whole time they were here. My sister was the one keeping the boys entertained, they love her!

By the way, today was Christmas, but it was also Lincolns 8 month "birthday". He is getting dangerously close to one!

A post for Shawna

When I was getting Lincoln dressed this morning I put him in his "MY AUNT ROCKS" shirt, which was appropriately given to him by his aunt! I wanted to get a picture of him in the shirt so I could send it to Shawna... well... I got plenty of cute pics, but you cant see the shirt. Then... I got one with the shirt, and look at his face! hahaha Sorry Aunt Shawna- maybe next time!

What we will be doing tonight...

Hmmm, any guesses on what Joey and I will be doing tonight? Time to lower the mattress in the crib! He is too smart for his own good. He is finally crawling one hand at a time too! The faster he gets, the more worried it makes me. Oh the joy of being a parent, to worry about someone every second of the day for 18 years plus! So much love, so much stress!!!

He's not afraid anymore

I bought Lincoln the ever popular ball popper way before he was even born. Every time we try to play with it, the noise scares him and he starts crying. I have tried a few times and every single time I have to put it away. Finally, the other day he didn't cry. I had to hold him the first few times, but after a few minutes he was treating it like everything else, a chew stick! haha

House for Sale!

I haven't added any new posts lately because I have not been anywhere to take new pictures. Me and Joey have been frantically "fixing up" our house getting it ready to sell! We know its not a good time to sell, but we ALWAYS talk about wanting to move West and never do anything about it. We can find houses we want all day long, but without selling this house it doesnt do us alot of good. So, we decided we would list our house and see what happens. If it sells- GREAT! We will be free to find the house we want, if it doesn't, thats okay too, 'cause we really do like our house, we just want it to be located in a different area. Anyway- the house is now officially for sale, and we just have to wait and see if anyone wants to buy it.

Learning fast

So, we all know he can sit,

and he is very close to crawling, just needs a little more muscle!

but now, he has decided that he can stand too!

I think that look says it all! Watch out mamma- here I come!

Lincoln is picking up alot of new things pretty quick lately- I dont know what I am gonna do when he is running around the house grabbing everything in his reach. Looks like I better come up with a plan pretty soon!
