San Antonio

Joey goes dove hunting every year on Sept 1, and was supposed to do the same this year, but he got stuck at work the night before and was not able to go. We woke up Saturday with a 3 day weekend and no plans- so we said, lets go to San Antonio, and packed in 10 min and headed out! It was super last minute but a whole long weekend with Daddy NEVER happens. I am so glad we got to go! We stopped in Austin on the way down and ate at the Salt Lick, somewhere I have always wanted to go. It has been on Top Chef and Man vs Food and looked like some GOOD BBQ, and it was!

Then we checked in to the hotel and spent some time in the pool!

Then we headed to the river walk for dinner at our FAVORITE place, Ritas on the River (I swear this is the only reason I go to san antonio, 5 hour drive for queso!) Lincoln was HOT or tired, or something but not very happy to be out, he wanted to go back to the room, it had been a long day so we did.

On Sunday we got up and went to Sea World (Lincolns first time). We hit all the shows right in a row, spent time in the splash area, then went to see the dolphins, sharks, and stingrays- then got in the car AGAIN to drive back.

It was ALOT of hours in the car in a 24 hr period, but Lincoln did great, he never complained and only fell asleep once for about 20 min.

Back to School

A neighbor of ours offered back to school mini sessions (Pinterest inspired), although Lincoln will be entering pre-K in a MDO program, I thought WHY NOT! They turned out super cute and I cant believe how close he is getting to actually starting school.

He starts Fall T-ball next week too, so maybe Ill have some updates to post. Seems silly to post here, and on FB, and on instagram... to many social media outlets!

Lately

Summer in my house is really no different than any time of year. I work from home and Joeys schedule doesn't change, so not much difference. However- it has been nice being able to take Lincoln to the pool after work every day- he loves it! He recently took lessons here at our pool an they went well. He loves to swim, the only problem is he is still to short to touch in our pool, even in the shallow end- so he likes to wear his life jacket. Here is Lincoln at his "first" dentist appt, it was actually his second, but the first time he never opened his mouth so this was a big improvement! Here he is getting ready for his 4 year pics Which turned out pretty good, here is one I scanned: I have become addicted to snow cones, especially since Bahama Bucks opened close to our house! Lincoln is not a big fan- he says they are too cold! We got Lincoln a trampoline, it has been sort of a disaster from the start, first my brother hit him in the head by accident when they were setting it up, then all the pieces were not in the box and we are still waiting on some to set up the enclosure. Hopefully one day it will be complete! That's our life in a nutshell- for now :)

Great Wolf Lodge

Every year we have taken Lincoln to Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate his birthday. This year was the first time he got to take a friend, MaKenna and Lincoln were born 1 week apart and have always loved spending time together! We had a great time as always, although I am still shocked that my baby boy is turning 4!
