First I have to say how amazed I am that my baby is 2! It is both sad and exciting. This year I look forward to him speaking in sentences and the end of diapers! Lincoln shares his birthday with his Aunt Shawna so we all went out to eat Friday at the Magic Time Machine to celebrate. Saturday night we went to Grannys (my Mom) for a mini party with pizza and cake, he loved the candle and wanted to blow it out over and over and over, he also made us sing Happy Birthday each time. It made him feel super special :) This pic is blurry because he is in mid bounce on the trampoline :) I had to post this pic too- before we left Sunday we were outside. You cant really tell from this pic, but there was a tractor in the background picking up construction trash and putting it in the dump truck, so that is exactly what Lincoln was doing... filling up his little tractor and putting it in the dump truck. Sunday we headed to Grapevine to the Great Wolf Lodge for our family tradition (2 years in the making). Sunday was rough, Lincoln was not sure of this place and was very hesitant to get in the water. We actually got to the hotel at 12, into our room around 1:45 and then it was time for Lincoln to nap. We got up at 4 and went swimming- we left at 6 to get ready for Dinner. At 8 every night they have a pajama story time show for the kids, Lincoln was mesmerized by the characters. Then we had ice cream and played in the arcade for awhile, then off to the room to settle in for the night. We got up the next morning and were waiting at the door when they opened the park at 9. Lincoln had so much more fun this time around. He was ready- he even went down the slide a few times! All and all we had an excellent birthday weekend! Thank you to everyone who was part of it. I cant wait to see what this next year has in store for our family!
Lincoln brought me Joeys shirt and said "on"... too funny!
This weekend we had AWESOME tickets to NASCAR. We are not NASCAR fans at all, but the tickets were in a HUGE suite with free food and drinks. The whether was wet so the races were delayed, and then canceled- Kinda ruined the trip but the suite was so nice it was worth hanging out for a while!
On another note- Lincoln spilled a whole bottle of BLACK nail polish on our bedroom carpet this weekend, I was more upset about his pants than the carpet, considering we need to replace that floor anyway- just more incentive to do that! And we got his two year pics done- I did not get them on disk but will post them once they come back.
So, I FINALLY got a new camera today, hopefully I can get some good pics soon. My old camera takes blurry pics in funny colors. These pics were taken before I got the new one, we'll see how the new ones turn out but here is my last post with bad pics- I hope!
Lincoln looking cute and ready to go!
We are getting Lincolns 2 year pics taken next Saturday- so stay tuned for those, I am sure they will be adorable :) I can not believe I will have a 2 year old in 2 weeks!
...so this was like a dream come true for him. This monster was parked across the street from our house and we took him over to check it out. Whoa, whats this over here? This is AWESOME! How do I get in here? Better get out of here before the cops come!
Joey and I started dating 14 years ago! We were married November 26, 2003 and had our first son, Vance Joseph, April 24, 2007. After a 4 month battle we lost him. However, that opened the door for our second son to make a grand entrance into our lives, and what a blessing he has been. Lincoln Vance was born one year after his brother, on April 25, 2008. He is growing fast, so try to keep up!
