We are Out

I think this picture of Jenkins sums up our whole weekend...

So we spent ALL weekend moving, Monday we went to our empty house and covered the holes and painted and had it cleaned... then we closed. We are officially not home owners any longer. That is okay though- we will soon be again! I am already ready to go house hunting this weekend!

I am certain we will have to get movers when we find a new house, this weekend was brutal. Lincoln is settling in- thankfully he is used to being at my moms so the transition has been smooth so far.

All of our stuff crammed in to this one room at my moms is pretty comical- but its only temporary right? I hope so!

Lincoln got really good at going in and out the dog door about a week before we moved. I thought I'd have a little time before he started going out the one we added to my moms, I was wrong- he was in and out it before the dogs even figured it out.

And just because I think these are the dirtiest socks I have ever seen, I am adding the picture... this is what Lincoln does after he goes out the dog door!

Fun Day at the Mall

Yesterday we went to Willow Bend, a mall we never go to. I lost my keys and I always keep a tiny pocket knife on my keychain that I can not live without so I had to go there to get a new one.

While we were there we let Lincoln play in the kids area, he has never done this before but there were several "crawlers" out there so we thought we'd give it a try. He had fun, but he stayed very close to Mommy and Daddy and was not all that interested in the other kids.

I am pretty sure that soon we will not be able to keep up as he runs around like a mad man- so this was sweet!

Moving Fun

I have no idea why these pics posted the wrong way, I took them the same way I always do! You get the idea.

We have loads of boxes laying around the house as we start to pack, Lincoln thought it was pretty funny.

Update

We are closing on our house on February 23, which means we have two weeks to move out! I am glad that we got a buyer an everything is going through, but I am SO sad to be moving out of our first home. We have alot of memories over the 4 1/2 years we have lived here. We are trying to stay focused on the big picture, which makes this move the right thing for us to do, but at the same time it is emotional to say goodbye to our house!

I am pretty sure it will be alot harder once we start emptying everything out. I just keep thinking about how great it will be when we go to buy our new house. Gotta focus on the outcome and not the immediate.

Just because

Here are a few pictures I have taken around the house lately, nothing exciting to blog about. I think he looks alot like Joey in the one in his highchair!

No Pictures

Well, I have no new pictures to post, but big news- Our house is sold! We accepted an offer last week and the inspector came Saturday for the buyers. Everything was A-OK! The offer asked to close February 27, so we thought we had a month, but after the inspection the realtor asked me if I would be willing to close sooner. We dont want to give anyone time to change their mind so we said sure. We are now waiting on a closing date, the people want to move in as soon as possible!

Oh jeez, we are happy this was such a quick and painless process but now what do we do? Our plan was to move back into our last apartment because they have mini yards for the dogs, but then we read online that the complex has really gone downhill and it is no longer safe to live there. We don't have alot of other options with 3 dogs and baby so we will be moving in with my mom temporarily and looking for a new house. Her house is gonna be jammed packed for awhile, I feel kinda bad for her :)

Anyway- this will give us a really good opportunity to pay off some bills and take our time to find a house we can stay in for a long time. I cant wait to start shopping! For all you teachers out there, feel free to give me the names of great elementary schools- we want to make sure that the new house is in a school district that is good for Lincoln.

Doo-Rag

So, Lincoln can now open cabinets. He was in my bathroom pulling everything out from under my sink. There were some old bandannas lying there so I put one on him. He thought he looked pretty cool.
