Lincolns First Day of School!

Ok, so maybe not school, but today Lincoln started Mothers Day Out. He turned two and a half this month, and since I work from him he is able to stay home with me. We have been VERY lucky to be able to keep him home, but as he gets older, he gets more and more BORED in the day. He LOVES movies, but I feel bad for the kid, watching TV and playing with the dogs all day every day.

We decided to put him in the CLC program that is (luckily) across the street from our house at Prestonwood Baptist Church (North). They offer MDO Tues and Thurs from 9-2. We decided to start with just one day a week, as a trial.

This morning he was happy to take a walk to school (like I said, across the street). He was very cautious walking back to his room and into the class. He stood next to me watching the other kids. I asked him if he wanted to play and he said yes, and I told him he could so he started playing at a table with toys. The teacher asked me to sign him in so I did, and then left. I felt HORRIBLE, I knew he would not be happy when he noticed I left, but you have to be strong right? He did great, he had lots of fun and he says he wants to go again next week. I have my doubts, now that he knows mommy ducks out on him he will probably not be thrilled to go, but I know he will enjoy this time with other kids doing all these FUN activities. Its hard watching your baby grow!

My pics are not very good, his backpack was too heavy for him so I couldnt get one of him "ready for school". He is still cute though.

Ready to go!

this is him telling me no, he doesnt want his back pack because it is to "big"

trick-or-treat

This was Lincolns 3rd Haloween, but the first he actually (kind of) knew what was going on!

Friday we went with his cousins to Downtown McKinney for the 3rd year in a row. He was not sure why, but people kept giving him candy. He thought he had to eat it immediately and spent most of his time opening the last peice he got and ignoring the other people waiting to give him more. This was not such a bad thing though- less candy!

Saturday we went to the mall, and he insisted on wearing his costume. The "muscles" get pretty hot though, so he took it off pretty quickly. Luckily- he was not the only little one who insisted on wearing a costume so he didnt look too silly!

Sunday we took Lincoln to the church festival for the 3rd year also. He was having a blast playing all the games and rides. It was a big hit! Joey would not let me take him on the pirate ship- but I was ready (maybe next year)! I am sure each year will get more fun as he becomes more aware!

We couldn't let the fun stop with just a costume, so he got some new jammies too (thanks Gammy!) What a great weekend! This week- Lincolns starts MDO on Thursdays- we'll see how that goes, I'm hoping he has lots of fun!

Zoo!

Today we went to the Fort Worth Zoo, last time we went Lincoln was 10 months, so we knew this would be alot more fun. We met our friends with their daughter who is the same age as Lincoln and they were great! Cant wait to do it again (minus the 63 mile drive!)

Weekend trip to OKC

Friday my mom, sister, Lincoln and I headed up to Oklahoma City for the night. We took my Grandma to lunch on Saturday for her birthday. We went to a Japanese Hibachi place that had water and a Koi pond out front, Lincoln loved watching the fish!

its getting a little ridiculous!

Lincoln loves to dip his food, but today he had chicken nuggets and he wanted ranch, honey mustard, AND ketchup... REALLY? then he drug the chicken through all 3! He knows what he's doing! :)

Crazy Child

His favorite thing to do is tear all the pillows and cushions off the couch, multiple times a day!

He also enjoys destroying the bathroom anytime he gets the chance!
